Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to five specific locations around Manhattan multiple times a day. The role requires physical strength to lift and transport items weighing up to 50 pounds and the ability to manage their own vehicle, gas expenses, and travel between locations efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently transport goods to five designated locations across Manhattan multiple times per day.
- Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds at each stop.
- Ensure timely and accurate deliveries, following the planned schedule.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, ensuring it is in good working condition.
- Manage own vehicle and gas expenses for daily travel.
- Report any issues related to vehicle maintenance, delivery challenges, or delays.
- Communicate with supervisors and other team members as necessary to coordinate deliveries.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies while driving.
Requirements:
- Must own a reliable vehicle that is in good working condition (preferably a larger vehicle for transporting goods).
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Proven experience as a driver with a clean driving record.
- Must be able to navigate through Manhattan and handle the city’s traffic.
- Self-sufficient with ability to manage gas and vehicle maintenance costs.
- Ability to work independently and handle a fast-paced work environment.
- Excellent time management skills and punctuality.
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in delivery or transportation roles.
