Job Summary
Join our Cryo Team as a Meat Packer specializing in vacuum-sealed products. You’ll assist in loading/sealing meat with our VC999 and Multivac machines, managing output flow, and preparing items for storage or distribution. This is a unionized role with competitive benefits under the local contract.
Key Responsibilities
Feed product into vacuum-sealing machines (Multivac R085, VC999)
Monitor vacuum seal integrity and remove/repack defective bags
Trim excess plastic
Run product through shrink tunnel when required
Follow sanitation SOPs and equipment safety protocols
Maintain throughput without bottlenecks or pileups
Qualifications
Previous experience in vacuum packaging or meat processing preferred
Ability to work in wet and cold environments (35–40°F)
Attention to packaging quality and speed
Comfortable with repetitive motions and teamwork
Ability to lift 40–60 lbs
