We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painters to join our team, providing high-quality painting services for group homes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the interiors and exteriors of group home facilities are properly prepared and painted to maintain a clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing environment for residents.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, scraping, patching, and priming.

Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, trim, and other surfaces using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.

Assess and repair minor damages such as cracks, holes, and peeling paint prior to painting.

Select appropriate paint types and colors based on specifications and facility needs.

Mix and match colors to achieve desired shades.

Follow all safety protocols, including wearing protective gear and ensuring proper ventilation when necessary.

Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the safe handling and disposal of painting supplies and chemicals.

Communicate with group home management to schedule painting tasks in a way that minimizes disruption to residents.

Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations, especially when working in residential care environments.

Perform touch-up painting and routine maintenance as needed.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a painter, preferably in residential or commercial environments.

Strong knowledge of painting techniques, tools, and materials.

Ability to mix and match paints and finishes.

Basic knowledge of surface preparation and minor repair techniques.

Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Physical stamina and ability to work on ladders or scaffolding as needed.

Strong communication skills for working with clients, residents, and team members.

Education & Certification:

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Formal painting training or certification is a plus but not required.

Experience working in healthcare, assisted living, or group home settings is a plus.

Work Environment:

You will work in group homes, often in spaces where residents are present, requiring a professional and respectful demeanor.

The position may require occasional weekend or evening work depending on project deadlines.
