Paragon Chimney & Roofing is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and motivated Field Worker to join our team. As a Field Worker, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to the installation, inspection, cleaning, and maintenance of chimneys in residential and commercial properties throughout New York. The role requires working outdoors in all weather conditions, with an emphasis on safety and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect, clean, and maintain chimneys, venting systems, and fireplaces in accordance with industry safety standards.
Perform chimney sweeps and remove soot, creosote buildup, and debris to ensure proper airflow and prevent chimney fires.
Conduct inspections to identify hazards such as cracks, blockages, and faulty components in chimney systems.
Install and repair chimney liners, caps, dampers, and other chimney components as needed.
Provide detailed service reports and recommendations to customers after each visit.
Safely use various tools and equipment to perform chimney-related tasks.
Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols, including proper handling of hazardous materials.
Communicate clearly and professionally with customers to explain services and answer questions.
Maintain and organize tools, equipment, and service vehicle to ensure efficiency.
Work with a team to handle larger projects, ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
Assist in the promotion of safety and proper chimney maintenance practices.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in chimney services, construction, or a similar trade is preferred but not mandatory.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (for operating company vehicle).
Willingness to learn and obtain necessary certifications for chimney services (e.g., Chimney Safety Institute of America - CSIA certification).
