Hiring now: part-time garment care professional (Williamsburg)
Part-time position available at safe, clean, highly frequented dropoff-only laundry service in Williamsburg, Brooklyn
Compensation: starting wage $16/hr plus tips
Employment type: part-time (3 days/week)
ON THE BOOKS PAYMENT ONLY
Times of operation: 7am-8pm
Requirements:
- 1+ years experience working in a laundromat/at a garment care service/dry cleaner
- professional wash & fold or ironing/pressing experience a must!
- willing to work physically and efficiently to meet laundry turnaround times
- able to safely carry and lift up to 40 lbs
- comfortable working on feet/standing for 8 hours/day
- authorized to work in the US
- able to communicate in English
- comfortable using a tablet/iPad
- available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday)
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- sorting, stain-treating and washing laundry
- drying laundry
- folding laundry
- ironing/pressing/steaming laundry
- tracking progress of washing, drying and folding on a tablet
- communicating with front-of-house team and management on progress
- keeping equipment and space clean
