City Nights Hospitality, owner of the premier cocktail and event venue Ascent Lounge, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Mover / Porter Assistant to join our operations team.
Located on the 4th floor of 10 Columbus Circle, Ascent Lounge is a high-end cocktail lounge and event space that hosts some of the most exclusive gatherings in New York City. We are looking for a motivated individual who takes pride in maintaining an immaculate environment and handling premium furniture and fixtures with care and precision.
The Role
This position involves both moving and light maintenance responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
● Safely moving and protecting high-end furniture and event décor.
● Assisting with furniture setup and breakdown for private events.
● Supporting daily porter operations, including receiving and storing deliveries.
● Performing light handyman and facility upkeep tasks.
● Maintaining cleanliness and organization in storage and service areas.
● Collaborating with management to ensure smooth event and operational transitions.
Qualifications
● Prior moving experience or light handyman experience preferred.
● Ability to lift and move heavy furniture safely.
● Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor.
● Strong attention to detail and respect for high-end materials and finishes.
● Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to assist across departments.
● Availability for early morning shifts and flexible hours as needed.
Compensation
The hourly rate range for this role is $24–$33/hour, based on experience and skillset.
