Working Carpenter Foreman

Responsible for the day-to-day oversight of renovation sites as directed by supervisory staff, supervision of other workers and trades on the site, and the processes required to meet timely and accurate project completion.

ACCOUNTABILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Constructs/builds/renovates sites by reviewing blueprints/shop drawings, measuring materials, cutting/fitting/assembling/framing walls/partitions/flooring/ceilings/drywall and ensuring their compliance with requirements.

Installs bathroom/kitchen fixtures/cabinetry by reviewing blueprints/shop drawings, placing/fitting as required and making adjustments as needed.

Provides finishing work by installing doors/interior trim/moldings/specialty items and making adjustments as needed.

Manages subcontractors by implementing schedules and reviewing their work at the end of the shift.

Provides quality control over sites by responding to issues/questions/problems from Project Managers/Site Supervisors, ensuring that safety rules are followed/adhered to, making recommendations on changes to layouts and advising tradespersons on the best way to handle certain tasks.

Leads/supervises/coaches/trains staff to complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner while monitoring the efficiency, quality and quantity of work produced. Monitors/tracks staff time and attendance records.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma with a minimum of 5 years experience as a Finished Carpenter/Foreman. Strong verbal, attention-to-detail and multi-tasking skills required. Knowledge of power tools also required. Supervisory skills required for small project teams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38.00 - $42.00 per hour
