We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Attorney to join our legal team. As a Junior Attorney, you will assist senior attorneys in various legal matters, including research, drafting legal documents, and representing clients in court. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent law school graduate or an attorney with limited experience to gain valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic legal environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research using various resources such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw
- Assist senior attorney in drafting legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, and briefs
- Review and analyze legal documents for accuracy and compliance
- Prepare for and attend court hearings, trials, and depositions
- Collaborate with senior attorney to develop case strategies
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the legal process
- Assist with administrative tasks such as organizing case files and maintaining calendars
- Attend arbitration or court proceedings and assist with litigation matters
Experience:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the state bar association
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Proficient in legal drafting and writing
- Ability to litigate cases effectively
- Familiarity with legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
