Senior ISDA NegotiatorHire Counsel is seeking a Senior ISDA Negotiator for our client, one of the world's largest financial institutions, to work on a 5+ month long project. As part of the Markets Group Legal team, the candidate will play a key role in handling the negotiations of ISDA and Client FX product documentation for the Markets Group FX business and providing legal advice and support in connection with those contracts.Duration: 5+ monthsHours: 40 hours per weekPay: $95 per hourLocation: 3 days a week onsite in the clients New York City office with potential for Remote work.Responsibilities:Operate as an ISDA and product documentation negotiator for Markets Group's FX business.Draft and negotiate ISDA netting, credit support and other related documentation to required legal enforceability standards and where required, support the preparation, review and update of negotiation guides and enforcement playbooks relating to such contracts.Liaise with Credit, Risk, Business, Operations and other relevant areas on the negotiation and implementation of such contracts. Pro-active in progressing negotiations and managing expectations.Participate in business acceptance / documentation review committee (BAC) and provide regular updates.Take on special tasks and projects from time to time, including assisting with enforcement and regulatory implementation, and other projects involving the broader Legal Department.Qualifications:Minimum 5 years' experience in negotiating and advising on ISDA master agreements and ISDA credit support documentation in a legal or documentation team within a major bank or investment firm.Understands the ISDA documentation architecture and interplay among related ISDA and non-ISDA documentation e.g. confirmations, product definitions (fx preferably), novation agreements, protocols, credit support documents etc.Understands the contractual mechanics and legal basis for insolvency and non-insolvency close-out netting, payment netting and collateralization.Understands derivative products and services (preferably FX) and relevant regulatory obligations.Understands key risks of derivatives business (credit, market and operational).Excellent communications, drafting, negotiation and interpersonal skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Able to work independently.
