This is your express ticket into the beauty and fragrance industry.
I’m looking for a marketing intern to join a hospitality brand creating unique experiences around perfume. This fall, we’ll be hosting multiple tour events in Soho/Nolita, and we need a driven, hungry individual to help make these events some of the most talked about in the city.
If you’ve ever dreamed of working in a startup or want to make a real impact through your work, this is the opportunity for you.
Through this internship, you’ll get hands-on experience in brand partnerships, event production, content marketing, and PR/comms—all while working closely with the founder. You’ll gain responsibilities that typically require 3+ years of experience, giving you an edge in your career.
For now, this internship is unpaid. But you’ll be in on every brand partnership call, CC’d on every email, and I’ll write you a glowing letter of recommendation for any future opportunities you’re interested in. Plus, you’ll gain access to my personal network across the beauty, fashion, and fragrance industries.
And here’s the kicker: if you help the company make money, you’ll make money. That’s the beauty of entrepreneurship :) If you join this project, you will have a direct hand in its growth and success.
What You Can Expect:
- Researching and corresponding with potential brand partnerships
- Organizing and managing event calendars and scheduling
- Filming and editing TikTok videos
- Personal connections in the beauty and fragrance industries
- 10 to 15 hours of work per week, varying between in-person and remote, with daily check-ins via text
- A team that works hard, respects each other’s time, and understands the importance of doing great work
Your Qualifying Traits:
- High energy, not easily fazed by setbacks or bad news
- Biased toward action and execution
- Experienced failure and bounced back
- An insatiable desire to succeed
- Strong storytelling, public speaking, and content creation skills, with a desire to master them
- Almost obsessively organized (experience with Notion, Excel, or web-based automation is a plus)
- Good taste
- Some interest in the beauty/fragrance industry
- Based in New York (any borough is fine)
Most importantly, you should be a student of life. You might be at NYU, or maybe stuck behind a desk at a corporate job that isn’t fulfilling you. I don’t care where you are now—what matters is where you want to go.
If you’re interested, please send me your resume and one paragraph (300 words or less) about something you’ve been obsessed with lately. Make sure to use the subject line: "I’m ready."
