Patternmaker Responsibilities:
Meeting withdesigners to discuss the base design.
Reading and interpreting sketches & garment construction.
Creating rough-draft templates using paper patternfreehand techniques or draping techniques.
Measuring, cutting, and designing patterns in the material required.
Double-checking the pattern dimensions and style.
Sending the initial pattern for a manufacture check.
Meeting with designers to review the final product.
Tweaking the pattern and filing the design.
Reporting back to company
Patternmaker Requirements:
High school diploma or GED.
Previous experience as a Patternmaker.
Ability to read and interpret sketches and design models.
Experience with measuring, snipping, milling, and cutting tools.
Detail-oriented.
Ability to work to a deadline.
Sewing Responsibilities:
Seamstresses should be proficient in hand-sewing, machine sewing, and various techniques like hemming and seaming. They also need to be able to construct garments to clients' specifications.
Seamstresses often work directly with designers, so they need to be able to communicate effectively.
This includes understanding what clients are asking for, making suggestions, and communicating clearly.
Sewed according to quality standards-Trimmed
Repaired and tailored customers' and accessory items using industrial sewing machines.
Looking for a experienced seamstress with knowledge on alterations and new garments manufacturing.
She need to have knowledge on her own but be able to work under supervision. The position is seasonal with possibilities of permanent.
