Job Description:
Seeking an experienced steel worker that is skilled with a mig welder and is willing to do lots of metal grinding. You must be comfortable working in an environment with other people welding and grinding at the same time. You must be comfortable working around heavy and dangerous machinery. You must be able to lift up to 80lbs. Although this is a production position, interest in design is a must. You need to be interested in the design process. You must have extreme attention to detail because this is high end furniture production. You must have very good shop safety habits. Your safety and the safety of our team is very important. We will provide you with all required PPE.
Do not bring bad shop habits with you. We are a very polite and kind group that treat each other very respectfully. We are a diverse group looking for people to bring their own unique background and stories.
Do you have only a little experience? We are willing to train the right person if you have the proper attitude and enthusiasm.
This job opening is for full-time (40 hours per week) / MONDAY TO FRIDAY - 10AM TO 6PM
- 2-5 years minimum work experience is required in metal production.
- Welding Certification or extensive experience in Mig Welding and Angle Grinding is required.
- Strong commitment to maintaining safety standards.
- Must be very coordinated with your hands. Dexterity and hand-eye coordination essential for precise detailed work.
-Must be ok standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks.
- Tig welding knowledge is a plus
- Knowledge of patina finishing is a plus. Particularly in cold patina work. Our primary technique involves applying various oxides, which are subsequently clear-coated and waxed. We adhere to strict quality standards and anticipate our finishes to be flawless.
- Must have a trade certification or an educational degree/ art background.
- Must be ok with lots of grinding and welding (Mig-Welder / Angle Grinder)
