Must cut, grind, and polish eyeglasses, or other precision optical elements. Assemble and mount lenses into frames or process other optical elements. Includes precision lens polishers or grinders, centerer-edgers, and lens mounters. Excludes “Opticians, Dispensing ” (29-2081). Knowledge on use and cleaning of the Santinelli LE-1200 Patternless Edger is a plus.
Once the frame is complete with the lenses, the technician will create an invoice from QUICKBOOKS and wrap it around the frame, and insert it in a plastic frame bag. Each customers frames will be placed in a designated box and the owner will deliver the completed frames.
Experience as an ophthalmic laboratory technician required. Hours will be set 3-4 times a week in the late afternoon.
