Job Title: Sign Fabricator – Metal, Plastics, Welding, Assembly
Location: Long Island City, NY 11101
Pay Rate: $22–$30 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Full-Time, In-Person (40 hours/week)
About Us:
We are a busy architectural signage company based in Long Island City specializing in high-end signage for hospitals, universities, and large commercial campuses. We’re looking for a hands-on fabricator with experience working in metal, plastics, and wood to join our growing team.
Key Responsibilities:
Cut, drill, tap, and assemble aluminum and plastic components
Execute glue-ups, solvent welding, and adhesive bonding of sign materials
Read shop drawings and work independently to build assemblies
Assist with general fabrication and light carpentry as needed
MIG weld aluminum
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Collaborate with a team to meet production deadlines with precision
Ideal Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in sign fabrication, metalwork, or similar trade
Comfortable using saws, drills, routers, taps, and basic hand tools
Basic knowledge of adhesives and plastics (e.g., acrylic, PVC, HDU)
Some carpentry experience a plus
Willingness to learn and take direction
Good attitude, strong work ethic, and punctuality are essential
