An international nonprofit organization located in Midtown Manhattan is seeking a French Translator to work in their Procurement department. The ideal candidate will be a bright college graduate who is fluent in conversational and legal French. This is a 2-3 month project paying up to $20/hr. Recent college graduates are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
Translating documents and testimonies from clients; both French to English and English to French
Bilingual research using company database
Conversing in both English and French with clients for research purposes
Some database management and administrative work as assigned by department manager
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree
Native Proficiency or equivalent in spoken and written French
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Excellent communication skills
Passion for human rights and social justice and an interest in research and preservation
