POSITION: High School Science Substitute Teacher
LOCATION: Rockaway Park, Queens, NY
ASSIGNMENT START DATE: September 29, 2025
ASSIGNMENT END DATE: ongoing
HOURS: 7:45 AM – 4:00 PM
PAY: $25/hr
ORGANIZATION TYPE: Charter School
REQUIREMENTS:
Must have strong classroom management skills and experience teaching or supporting high school students
Must be fingerprinted with the NYC DOE
Must be vaccinated
DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking an experienced substitute teacher to cover a high school science teacher in Far Rockaway.
Lesson plans will already be created — just follow them.
Classes include:
o 2 ICT/Special Education science classes (with a co-teacher present)
o 2 general education science classes (11th & 12th grade)
This is a great opportunity for a confident sub who can step in and keep instruction on track.
