I am looking for a full time assistant, working 35-40 hours per week. The work is partly in office and partly remote. Possession of both a computer and smartphone are essential. Job duties include collecting copayments, verifying insurance benefits, sending out reminders of scheduled appointments, maintaining the appointment calendar for accuracy, scheduling new patients, scheduling and rescheduling current patients, retrieving closed charts from storage, maintaining the office supplies reordering when needed, doing prior authorizations for patient’s medication (we use cover my meds), preparing new patient charts and copying of all other patient forms, faxing, answering patient emails and following up with patients on a daily basis, completing pharmaceutical company surveys, and filing of EOBs and charts. There may be additional personal administrative duties asked of you as well.
The applicant MUST have prior experience with using an EHR system and data input. The applicant must have knowledge of CPT coding as well as diagnostic coding. The applicant must be able to prepare simple receipts and bills in a word processing program (we use Microsoft WORD). The applicant must have knowledge of common insurance terms like deductible, co-payment, co-insurance, and HSA account; and understand what each term means.

The job will pay between $22 and $25 an hour.
The hours are approximately Monday through Wednesday 8:30 – 6:00, Thursday 8:30 -1 pm, with the office closed on Friday. we work remote all Thursday mornings and every other Tuesday.
