Job Description: Our client, a leading global asset management firm headquartered in Midtown East, is looking for a long-term temp Events Management VP. This role starts ASAP (as soon as we find the right person) with a contract of 6 months to start (potential to extend at the 6-month mark). The hours are 9am-5pm but this person must be reachable after hours and flexible on the days they have events. This is a hybrid role, with a schedule of 4 days/week onsite and 1 day/ week remote. The hourly pay rate is $75-85/hr DOE.Responsibilities:Event Planning: Support the event lifecycle for in-person and hybrid events, from initial request, through execution and post event reporting across all US business units.Strategic Partner: Manage multiple workstreams concurrently with consideration for prioritization, complexity, influence, and levels of involvement required to advance initiatives. Working with client team(s) to provide guidance on agenda building, material design and speaker suggestions (internal/external) and presentation idea generation.Innovative: Drive innovation within the team by fostering a willingness to experiment and balancing big-picture thinking with tactical execution. Collaborate on creating new event experiences and exploring industry sponsorship opportunitiesFinancial Controls: Develop and maintain accurate budgets, negotiate cost savings, and reconcile actual expenses. Assist in preparing post-event analysis reports that incorporate both qualitative and quantitative data.Production and Technology: Collaborate with production and technology teams to enhance audience experience. Apply expertise in the production process and audio-visual requirements to influence event technology efforts aimed at engaging global audiences with hybrid programming.Vendor Management: Submit RFPs, recommend venue ideas and selection.
