Seeking an experienced office manager with excellent organizational and communication skills.

About us: Incorporated in 1969, Cousins Metal Industries is a family-owned-and-operated scrap metal recycling company operating out of Oceanside, Long Island. We purchase both ferrous and non-ferrous material from customers across Long Island, the five boroughs, and New Jersey.

Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage day-to-day office operations

Serve as the main point of contact for vendors and suppliers

Prepare and maintain A/R and A/P paperwork

Prepare and send weekly reports to principals

Handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity

Manage office budget and expenses

Handle payroll and employee onboarding

Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders as needed

Ensure efficient operation of office equipment and systems

Qualifications:

Proven experience in office management or a similar role

Strong organizational and time management skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficient in basic math skills and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, QuickBooks)

Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

Familiarity with phone systems and front desk operations

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
