Office Services Clerk
A prominent New York City real estate law firm is seeking a dedicated full-time Office Services Clerk. This position offers an excellent career opportunity for the right candidate, along with a comprehensive benefits package. Compensation will be determined based on experience.
As an Office Services Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our mailroom and handling a variety of tasks related to document processing, mail distribution, and general office support. The work hours are from 10:30 AM to 7:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with potential overtime as needed.
Responsibilities
Mail Handling: Receive, sort, and distribute all incoming mail and deliveries.
Fax Management: Log and distribute incoming faxes efficiently.
Interoffice Mail: Sort and distribute internal mail across departments.
Copier Operations: Operate and maintain copiers, including restocking and performing light maintenance.
Toner Replacement: Replace printer and copier toners as needed.
Special Assignments: Assist attorneys and clients with specific tasks and projects.
Court and Messenger Runs: Handle deliveries and document runs to courts and other locations.
Office Moves: Assist with internal office relocations and setups.
Postage Meter Operation: Manage and operate the Pitney Bowes postage meter.
Mailroom Maintenance: Ensure the mailroom is clean and organized at all times.
Common Area Upkeep: Stock and maintain common areas to ensure they are well-supplied and orderly.
Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned by the manager.
Requirements
Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a mailroom or similar environment.
Customer Service: Strong customer service skills are essential.
Mailroom Knowledge: Familiarity with mailroom procedures and equipment.
Physical Capability: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Stress Management: Ability to perform well under pressure.
Independence: Self-starter who can manage multiple tasks independently.
Compensation & Benefits
