A community-based organization located in Astoria, Queens seeks a focused, detail-oriented, and motivated individual interested in a long-term in-person part time assistant position (28 hours per week, 9 AM - 5 PM, Tuesday - Friday) in a team spirited environment. An Astoria area resident is preferred, who is able to work well collaboratively with a group as well as independently.
Job description includes:
Provide administrative support in an office setting including, but not limited to, answering phones and emails, and updating database and website
Assist with special projects including community outreach work in the field in Astoria
Social media posts including information dissemination on Facebook, X, and Instagram as needed
Attend events as needed
Other duties as required
Qualifications:
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)
Social Media Competent
Ability to Multitask and Work in Fast-Paced Environment When Needed
