Part-time Personal Assistant to a Tech Founder

Role Description:

This is a part-time hybrid role for a Personal Assistant to a tech founder / software engineer located in New York, NY. The role is mostly remote, with the opportunity to set your own hours. On-site work is only required when necessary for the task and travel expenses for on-site work are reimbursed.

Responsibilities:

- Internet research: Sometimes I need to find a reputable service or product, other times I want to pursue an idea that needs to be fleshed out.

- Handle incoming and outgoing communications: Call and email people to sort things out, so customer service doesn't drive me insane.

- Data entry: Organize my life by categorizing expenses for budgets, formatting notes into coherent documents, and creating spreadsheets.

- Travel arrangements: Plan flights, hotels, Airbnbs, and prevent me from getting stranded in another country.

- Event planning: Mostly dinner reservations, but every so often I have colleagues visiting and something more needs to be planned.

- Random stuff: Sell clothes I should have never bought on Poshmark or Grailed, go to an apartment viewing on my behalf to take videos and measurements, or find people on Upwork to help with specialized tasks.

- Occasional on-site assistance: Travel expenses for on-site work are reimbursed. Turns out some things can't be done online and it's a tragedy.

Qualifications:

- Personal Assistance skills.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Exceptional time management and organizational skills.

- Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.

- Maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.

- Bonus: Experience with marketing / social media, graphic design, or project management.
