Leading global hedge fund located in Midtown, Manhattan is seeking to hire a Temporary to Permanent Receptionist to sit at the front desk, serve as the face of the firm and manage the daily operations of a 150-person office. This position will require 5 days on-site between the hours of 7am-5pm with flexibility required depending on the shift. The ideal candidate is a hospitable, presentable, quick-thinking, highly organized, proactive self-starter who pays close attention to detail and maintains the utmost level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion.Responsibilities:General office administration tasks, including (but not limited to): Greeting guestsAnswering phonesPreparing meeting rooms & connecting video conferences for guests and employeesProcessing incoming and outgoing mail/deliveries; maintaining calendars and filesManaging vendor relationshipsPlanning office-wide eventsOrdering, stocking, and maintaining office suppliesCoordinating travel arrangementsAssisting in coordination for various repairs or maintenanceProviding basic office support and cross coverage for the broader facilities and administration team as needed on an ad hoc basisManaging last minute meeting room requests across all teamsQualifications:Must have strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, OutlookMust be vocal and have a sense of urgency while maintaining poise and composure under pressureCandidates should be resourceful, proactive and display good judgementMust pay close attention to detail, self-confident and able to pick up on social cuesPrioritize time-sensitive tasks with a positive, above-and-beyond approachShould be a team player and have a positive attitude.
