Small Moving Company Seeks Part Time Office Manager

We're a small household moving company based in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, looking for a part-time office manager to work weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) and Wednesdays. That may change depending on vacations and changing needs, but those are the days to start. The job involves answering phone and email inquiries for moving quotes and moving related questions from customers. It also involves sending out jobs to employees, taking payment from jobs, settling out money from the days jobs and some other tasks related to running a small moving company. There may be an opportunity to work from home occasionally, but for the most part, we'd prefer you be in our office in the heart of Williamsburg, Brooklyn, as you will be settling out days with the crews in what is a largely cash business.

You should have basic computer skills for operating a PC. Mostly, it's Excel, Word and Outlook Calendar, but it's not programming-level stuff. The biggest thing will be learning how to quote moving jobs.

This is a fairly low-pressure job with a decent amount of down time between emails and calls, especially in the slower winter season. We're fairly casual around here, but absolutely respectful to all races, genders and identities, and require that same consideration from our employees. We're also very supportive of the arts, although being in the arts is not a requirement for the job.

Experience in the moving world would be helpful, but willing to train the right person. Need somebody who can start pretty soon.
