Northern Westchester design studio is seeking to hire a part time employee with experience in and/or aptitude for interior design and, preferably, work experience in retail sales. We work with clients in our shop and in the home. We specialize in the sale of high-end fabrics, wallpaper, custom upholstery, drapes, shades and furniture. As a design consultant, you would be advising and assisting customers in making their design visions into a reality
Requirements:
Retail sales experience including the proven ability close sales of luxury goods, fashion and/or design services.
Knowledge of and strong interest in interior design, fabrics, window treatments, furniture, and home décor trends.
Embody a sense of personal style, polished appearance, refined taste, and eye for luxury.
Ability to create and present design solutions: communicating design concepts, space planning, and product selection.
Strong communication and personal skills (written & verbal) and the ability to work in a team environment.
Demonstrated ability to provide superior customer service.
Degree in creative arts or Interior Design, a plus.
