Dog Daycare Counselor

As a Counselor at PupCulture, you will be the go-to expert for our clients' pups, ensuring they have a comfortable, safe, and joyful experience. Your primary responsibility is to manage and monitor the well-being of dogs during their time at our daycare and boarding facilities. This role also involves client communication, team coordination, and maintaining a positive environment for both pets and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

- Dog Supervision: Oversee all playgroups, ensuring the safety and happiness of all pups under your care. Monitor behavior, address any concerns, and manage dog dynamics to ensure a stress-free environment.

- Client Relations: Communicate with pup parents during drop-off and pick-up, providing updates and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.

- Meet-and-Greets: Conduct 60-minute meet-and-greet assessments for new dogs to evaluate their suitability for daycare, ensuring they are a good fit for our playgroups.

- Team Collaboration: Work closely with fellow counselors, groomers, and management to ensure smooth daily operations, proper care, and handling of all dogs.

- Overnight Boarding: Manage boarding dogs, including feeding, walking, and providing regular updates to parents. Ensure that all overnight tasks from the boarding checklist are completed.

- Behavior Monitoring: Track dog behavior and health during their stay, notifying management of any changes or concerns, including signs of illness or injury.

- Cleanliness & Safety: Maintain a clean and organized environment, adhering to our safety and sanitation protocols.

### Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Experience with Dogs: Prior experience in pet care, dog handling, or working in a dog daycare or boarding facility is preferred.

- Excellent Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members, providing updates and addressing any concerns with clarity and empathy.

- Team Player: Must be able to work well with a diverse team and maintain a positive, cooperative attitude.

- Attention to Detail: Thorough in monitoring dogs' behavior and health, ensuring a clean and safe environment.

- Physical Stamina: Ability to walk, stand, and handle dogs for extended periods, including lifting up to 50 lbs if necessary.

- Passion for Animals: Genuine care and passion for dogs and their well-being.
