Job Overview: We are looking for a diligent and customer-focused Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling cash transactions, ensuring accurate pricing, and providing exceptional customer service to our patrons.
Key Responsibilities:
Cash Handling:
Accurately process all cash and credit card transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
Provide customers with receipts and return the appropriate change as needed.
Customer Service:
Greet customers as they enter the store and assist them in finding products.
Handle customer inquiries, concerns, or complaints professionally and ensure customer satisfaction.
Regulatory Compliance:
Verify customer IDs to ensure they meet the minimum age requirement for purchasing alcohol.
Adhere to all local and state regulations regarding the sale of alcohol.
Store Maintenance:
Keep the checkout area clean and organized.
Restock shelves and cooler areas as needed.
Assist with inventory counts and product pricing.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with other staff members to ensure smooth store operations.
Communicate any issues or discrepancies to the store manager promptly.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years old (to handle alcoholic products).
Previous cashier or retail experience is a plus.
Familiarity with POS systems.
Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent customer service skills and professionalism.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Must pass a background check.
