As a Pawn Broker at 5 Borough Pawn LLC, you will play a vital role in our retail environment, providing exceptional customer service while facilitating the buying, selling, and pawning of various items. You will be responsible for assessing the value of items brought in by customers, managing inventory, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Your expertise in retail sales and customer interaction will help foster trust and loyalty within our community.
Duties
Evaluate and appraise items brought in for pawn or sale to determine their value.
Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their inquiries and transactions.
Manage inventory by stocking shelves, organizing products, and maintaining an orderly display.
Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about the features and benefits of items.
Utilize retail math to accurately process transactions and manage cash flow.
Engage in upselling techniques to enhance sales opportunities and improve customer satisfaction.
Supervise staff as needed to ensure smooth operations and adherence to company policies.
Maintain knowledge of current market trends to provide informed recommendations to customers.
Qualifications
Proven experience in retail sales or in a similar environment is preferred.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
Familiarity with retail math principles for accurate transaction processing.
Experience in supervising staff or leading teams is a plus.
Ability to perform product demos effectively and engage customers.
Knowledge of pawn brokering practices or related fields is beneficial but not required.
A keen eye for detail when assessing the quality and value of various items.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
