The store offers a variety of quality pet food & supplies prioritizing responsible sourcing and animal well-being.
Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional customer service: Greet customers, answer questions about pet care, products, and services, and help them find what they need for their pets.
Educate pet parents: Share knowledge of animal care, nutrition, and behavior to help customers make informed choices.
Maintain store standards: Keep the store clean, organized, and inviting, including stocking shelves, maintaining product displays, and performing basic cleaning duties.
Operate the cash register: Process transactions accurately and efficiently.
Support online order processing, including packing and preparing orders for delivery.
Assist with inventory management
Qualifications:
Retail or customer service experience preferred, especially in a pet store or similar environment
Passion for animals: A genuine love and concern for the well-being of all types of pets.
Excellent communication and customer service skills: Ability to build rapport with customers and provide helpful, friendly assistance.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team: Collaborate effectively with colleagues and take initiative.
Physical ability to lift and carry pet supplies: Including feed bags and other products.
Flexibility in scheduling: Willingness to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
Bonus Points:
Previous experience in a pet store or animal-related field.
Knowledge of specific types of animals (e.g., reptiles, fish, birds, small mammals).
