Responsibilities:
- Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned.
- Follow department procedures for preparing, storing, rotating, and stocking products.
- Prepare, package, weigh, and price products for sale.
- Monitor product quality and freshness; ensure proper product rotation.
- Maintain clean and well-stocked cases and shelves.
- Complete spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep logs as required.
- Assist with periodic inventory checks.
- Arrive to workstation on time, appropriately groomed and dressed.
- Provide excellent customer service and model suggestive selling techniques.
- Maximize sales potential through effective product handling and merchandising.
- Follow established procedures for health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
- Maintain a clean working and shopping environment.
- Ensure accuracy of signs and pricing.
- Report safety hazards and violations immediately.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Ability to learn basic knowledge of products carried in the department.
- Ability to visually examine products for quality and freshness.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Standing/walking for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday.
- Ability to bend, twist, squat, and reach.
- Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals and varying temperatures.
- Ability to work in wet and/or cold environments.
- Use tools and equipment, including box cutters, knives, and electric pallet jacks.
