An established Hardware Store located in Astoria, NY is seeking a full-time Warehouse Associate - Order Picker/Packer/Stock Clerk.
Must be knowledgeable with hardware items, paint, plumbing, electrical and janitorial supplies. Experience operating a Forklift is a huge advantage.
Responsibilities:
Pull orders via pick tickets from inventory on shelves and warehouse
Box or shrink wrap orders and place on pallets/skids
Receive and process incoming stock.
Stock merchandise in warehouse and restock shelves in store.
Keep and maintain a safe and clean warehouse environment.
Organize warehouse material and store material as directed
Make keys and mix paint for customers
Job Requirements:
Knowledge in hardware supplies, a must.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must have a High School Diploma
Good communicator, organizational and time management skills
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift and move objects that weighs up to 50lbs, regularly. Occasionally lift and move objects that are more than 50lbs.
Ability to work on your feet for long periods of time. Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch regularly.
Ability to navigate stairs while carrying product
