We are a beloved neighborhood 21 year old wine and spirits shop in Carroll Gardens Brooklyn. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Stock Manager to oversee inventory management and ensure the efficient operation of our stockroom. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a commitment to maintaining optimal inventory levels while providing excellent customer service. This role requires collaboration with sales teams, buyers and a hands-on approach to managing stock.
Duties
Receiving
Purchase Orders
Stocking and detailing shelves in store.
Collaborate with purchasing teams to forecast demand and manage stock levels accordingly.
Implement effective inventory control measures to minimize shrinkage and loss.
Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with inquiries related to stock availability.
Maintain a clean and organized stockroom environment for optimal efficiency.
Requirements
Proven experience in inventory management or a similar role within a retail or warehouse environment.
Strong understanding of wine & spirits, packaging.
Ability to lift 100-200 heavy cases of wine and carry up and down stairs each week
Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for maintaining accurate inventory records.
