We are looking for a Network Infrastructure Engineer for a large scale long term support project in New York City. The candidate must have experience in the following areas:
- Network planning, designing, and developing network architectures.
- Installing and maintaining network hardware and software.
- Monitoring network performance and integrity, and making adjustments as needed.
- Analyzing and resolving network hardware and software problems.
- Implementing security measures such as firewalls, authentication, and encryption.
- Ensuring that the network complies with industry standards and best practices.
- Developing and testing disaster recovery plans
- Collaborating with other engineering groups to ensure the network supports applications and services
- Configuring and installing various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS, etc).
- Assessing network infrastructure needs and required design augmentations that may be required.
- Designing and deploying functional networks.
- Creating and testing network resiliency measures.
- Maintaining complete technical documentation, high- and low-level design
- Suggesting improvements to network performance, capacity, scalability and resiliency
- Handling special projects and initiatives as assigned
A qualified candidate must have 12+ years of experience and certifications in related technologies
