A full-time Associate Researcher position is offered in the Rendl laboratory at the Black Family Stem Cell Institute and Department of Cell, Developmental and Regenerative Biology at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. The Rendl laboratory explores the basic biology of stem cell niches using hair follicle development and regeneration as model systems. Genetic mouse models for cell isolation, molecular characterization, lineage tracing, 2-photon live imaging microscopy, and gene function studies are applied to study the cell fate specification of stem cell activating niche cells in skin.
