Full Time Programmer/Coder Wanted for Brighton Beach Retail Chain Headquarters
We are looking for someone who lives in the Brighton Beach Brooklyn area to work in our office right off Ocean parkway and Neptune Ave. We run a chain of retail stores, and we are looking for someone to be our 3rd full time programmer/coder.
We have a large code base written more than 15- years ago in VB6. It was converted to C# WinForms. The task will be to review each converted module and fully develop into C# usable front-end component. (VB6 experience is helpful but not required.)
After the initial project completion of transitioning the VB6 to C#, tasks will be to develop new features and coding into the software which will include web based and desktop applications.
Requirements include:
. Ability to navigate legacy code bases; refactoring, applying design patterns, best practices.
. Experience developing full-stack solutions in C#, .NET, and SQL Server or comparable DBMS.
. Experience with Git, continuous integration and build processes.
. Coding knowledge of ASP.net and standard Web technology
. Very good problem-solving abilities.
Desired:
. Knowledge of Agile development methodologies
. Experience with responsive layout and design, preferably with Bootstrap framework
. Microservice architectures experience
. Experience with web services and RESTful APIs
. .NET Core, JavaScript, MVC framework, HTML/CSS Angular, Vue framework, Teleric Kendo UI, SSRS
The position is a full time, from 10:00am until 6:30pm every day. We have a full kitchen on site.
