Position: Junior Web Developer
Job Duties:
- Development of all web projects, ensuring the successful delivery of responsive, highperformance websites for the company.
- Develop responsive websites that offer a seamless user experience across various devices,
including desktops, tablets, and mobile devices.
- Ensure that all websites meet accessibility standards and are optimized for cross-browser
compatibility.
- Ensure website performance meets or exceeds a 95 score on Google Speed Insights, applying
best practices for speed, efficiency, and scalability.
- Continuously monitor and improve website performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks
related to loading times, rendering, and resource usage.
- Customize and optimize WordPress themes and plugins to achieve the best possible
performance.
- Modify and extend WordPress functionality using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, ensuring the
site’s backend is robust and scalable.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in JavaScript, CSS, and HTML to create dynamic and
interactive website features.
- Modify existing codebases to enhance functionality and performance, ensuring smooth
integration with backend systems.
- Implement and maintain best practices for technical SEO, including site architecture, metadata,
schema markup, and page speed optimization.
- Provide ongoing support for existing websites, troubleshooting issues as they arise and
implementing fixes in a timely manner.
- Perform regular site audits and updates to ensure security, performance, and compliance with
the latest web standards.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest web development trends, tools, and technologies, and proactively
apply new skills to improve the company’s web presence.
- Collaborate with managers and team members to gather requirements, define project scope, and
deliver solutions that align with business objectives.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in IT/computer science or a related technical field
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL.
- Familiarity with WordPress theme development and management.
- Understanding of responsive design principles.
- Eagerness to learn about SEO, content management, and other web development tools like Elementor.
- Ability to write clean, well-documented code.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently.
Workdays: Mon-Fri, 09:00 am-6:00 pm (40 hrs. weekly, 1 hr. unpaid lunch/personal time)
Location: Office; 2424 Ocean view avenue, Brooklyn NY 11235, No Remote Work.
