Company Overview
The energy division of Worldwide Financial company and leader in the brokering of OTC physical and derivative products is currently looking for a talented Jr. level software developer
The firm's extensive client base includes banks and financial institutions, energy and utilities companies, insurance firms, paper producers and printers, shipping and chartering firms, newspaper and media groups, and leading consumer products companies.
You will primarily develop server-side applications in Java and work on projects that integrate the firm's trading and back-office systems with exchanges, clients, and other 3rd parties. The successful candidate will be expected to manage such projects independently, including liaising with both external clients and internal teams. You will join a development team spread across offices in London, Stamford, NY, and Madrid. You will also be involved in the ongoing enhancement and evolution of core services and the platform’s service-oriented architecture.
Essential Technical Skills
Minimum 2 years of server-side software development in Java
Working knowledge of SQL Databases
Other skills/experience considered an advantage:
Financial markets - derivative products in particular
FIX Protocol
C#.Net
Oracle PL/SQL
Experience working with XML, including XSL transformations.
JSON / REST
SOA / Micro-services
Git version control
Must be fully work authorized.
