Job Description
We are looking for NYC cosmetology licensed hair stylists, or soon to be graduates for an upscale and dynamic children's hair salon in Williamsburg.
Experience with children is a plus! If you don't have experience with children we are willing to train but you need to be able to work with children.
As a receptionist and a hair stylist, your main responsibility is learn how to run the reception desk and to style children's hair. You will also be responsible for creating a welcoming child and parent friendly environment, promoting a high standard of excellence, and providing excellent services, including, greeting and checking in clients, hair styling and product promotion and sales (products include hair care and other products such as toys, books etc.)
Please don't apply if you can not commute to Brooklyn or work on the weekends.
Job Duties:
Book appointments, answer phone, check in and consult with parents to understand requirements and desires prior to styling hair.
Provide a high standard of customer service in an effort to keeping both children and parents happy.
Requirements:
A valid NYC cosmetology license.
An ability to work on weekends, being a self starter and motivated to do an excellent job
Skills:
Proven experience as a hair stylist. If you are a new graduate you will start as a receptionist.
Working knowledge of all aspects of cosmetology and best practices
Up-to-date hair style and beauty trends
Great physical stamina
Excellent communication and people skills
High school diploma and cosmetology license are a must

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $200.00 per day
Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
