Assistant Manager for Spa with Cafe

Seeking an assistant manager with previous managerial experience for a new Spa that also has a cafe. The ideal candidate enjoys the spa/wellness industry, is friendly and professional, and is someone who wants a “home” where they can grow with the company.You will be asked to sign a 1-year contract at hiring. The right candidate will be promoted to a Manager position in time.

Requirements:

1. Must have previous experience working in spas.

2. Must have at least 2-4 years experience as a manager.

3. Must be out-going, friendly, and able to connect with all kinds of people.

4. Must complete a Certified Pool Operator’s course upon hiring. (2 day online course) and pass the exam.

5. Must have excellent organization skills.

6. Must have the patience and the ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve. This can range from troubleshooting a printer that is not working to being able to resolve customer issues with grace.

7. Must have excellent computer skills including emails, small design projects in Canva, learning the POS system in depth and operating it, google docs, excel, and website updates (no coding necessary, we use WIX)

8. At least 1 year Previous experience in restaurants as a server, bartender, or barista.

Responsibilities:

1. Creating the weekly staff schedule and communicating schedule needs to the employees.

2. Being the point of contact for the employees. When employees need supplies, have scheduling requests, questions, and other concerns, they will report to you and you will report to the General manager.

3.putting together vendor orders for supplies

4. Assisting the GM with marketing tasks.

5. Assisting with training new employees.

6. Regularly checking chemical levels in the spas and overseeing that all cleaning logs and testing logs are maintained.

7. Working as a front desk attendant as needed.

8. Assisting in the cafe as needed.

8. Ensuring customers have an excellent experience.

9. Overseeing operations in the absence of the General Manager.

10. Assisting the general manager with phone calls, emails, and other administrative tasks pertinent to the business.
