JOB DESCRIPTION
Full Time Janitorial/Maintenance
Description:
Responsible for keeping Fitness & Health Center neat and clean in all areas (including but not limited to public entrances, restrooms, locker rooms, gym space, workout space, group fitness rooms, private offices, child care space and grounds). Responsible for ensuring that facility is free from odors, accumulated dirt/dust and safety hazards. Responsible for performing routine maintenance as assigned.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Clean all assigned areas (including dusting, sweeping, washing, mopping, vacuuming, etc.).
- Empty trash.
- Assist with snow and ice removal.
- Clean up any spills, leaks, etc.
- Maintain and manage cleaning supplies inventory.
- Routine maintenance duties as assigned (including but not limited to changing interior light bulbs, minor repairs to equipment, minor plumbing repair, etc.).
- Assist with movement of equipment and supplies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be a team player.
- Must be able to work independently without constant supervision.
- Must be on time for shifts.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks as well as prioritize work.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical labor as required.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with staff and members.
