Nail Technicians (Experienced & Entry-Level – Japanese Gel Focused, Manhattan)

Mellow Bar is redefining nail care by combining beauty with wellness. Since 2020, we’ve grown to two busy Manhattan locations and built a loyal following through our focus on natural nail health, high-quality Japanese gel services, and a mindful, client-centered experience.
We’re looking for licensed, Nail Technicians who are passionate about their craft and eager to join a team that values creativity, precision, and care. We have openings for both experienced Japanese Gel specialists and entry-level technicians interested in training with us.

Requirements:
For Experienced Technicians:
Valid NYS Nail Technician License
Minimum 2 years of Japanese Gel experience
Highly skilled with e-file for soak-off and cuticle care
Proficient in nail art (French, ombré, minimalist, or custom designs)
Able to provide pedicure services
Must attach resume + portfolio
For Entry-Level Technicians:
Valid NYS Nail Technician License
1–2 years of nail care experience (school or salon)
Confident using or open to learning e-file techniques
Interest in Japanese gel, nail health, and minimalist design
Note: Entry-level technicians may begin in a Front Desk Assistant role while completing hands-on training before transitioning into a full technician position.
Responsibilities:
Perform manicures and pedicures with emphasis on hygiene and nail health
Greet clients warmly and deliver exceptional service
Recommend designs and colors (basic color theory a plus)
Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized station
Communicate clearly with clients and team members
Stay current on nail art trends and techniques
Upsell add-ons or retail when appropriate
