A wonderfully natured female (former Broadway dancer), who has become handicapped with a tendon/muscle disorder and knee surgery, needs a strong caregiver for leg muscle massage, assistance getting out of bed, etc.
This unique job requires a special person that is looking for a long-term position
- assisting 100 lb woman into and out of bed in a controlled position with ease
-flexibility is important because lifting position is awkward yet precise
-strong hands for leg muscle massage
-strong, flexible, resilient physical condition
-important to have body awareness( Sports, athletics, dance, yoga, martial arts, yoga Etc
- assistance with grocery shopping and household activities
-assistance into and out of bed using a Hoyer lift which is easily learned
-please do not apply if you have your own physical injuries such as a weak back or knee, Etc
- reliable, patient, compassionate, willingness to learn, ability to focus on details
- positive optimistic attitude and sense of humor are key! ( she has these qualities too! )
- training provided and paid until routine is learned
- one full Saturday and a half day on Sunday
-Compensation $20/hr CASH
-this is an extremely rewarding job. She is progressing and her condition does not stop her from enjoying life. we are looking for someone whose primary motivation is not just financial, but who also genuinely wants to help someone get better and become more independent. Caregivers in the past have become part of our family, so this isn't just a" here for the paycheck" sort of job. extremely rewarding job.
