Now Hiring: Social Media & Outreach Coordinator (Intern to Intermediate Level)

Location: Brooklyn

Employment Type: On-site (not remote position) Part-Time or Full-Time (Flexible for the right candidate).

About Us:

We are a boutique wig salon dedicated to serving women experiencing hair loss due to medical treatments, alopecia, or other conditions. Our mission is to restore confidence through beauty, empathy, and personalized service. We are now seeking a creative, proactive, and socially aware individual to expand our online presence and connect with organizations that serve the hair loss community.

Role Overview:

This is a unique opportunity to use your content creation skills for a meaningful cause. You’ll lead or support our social media strategy, help grow our online audience, and personally reach out to medical centers, support groups, and nonprofits to raise awareness about our services.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, create, and schedule content across Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok

Capture behind-the-scenes moments, wig transformations, client stories (with consent), and educational tips

Maintain our salon’s voice and tone—compassionate, confident, and professional

Respond to social media inquiries and engage with our audience

Identify and visit relevant local institutions (oncology centers, dermatologists, support groups, etc.) to build partnerships and raise visibility

Represent the salon professionally in both digital and in-person outreach

Ideal Candidate:

Strong understanding of Instagram and Facebook best practices and TikTok

Experience creating reels, stories, and static posts using tools like Canva or CapCut

Excellent writing and visual storytelling skills

Confident and professional when speaking with medical offices, clinics, or community groups

Warm, respectful, and sensitive to the emotional nature of hair loss

Self-motivated, organized, and able to work both independently and collaboratively

Bonus: background in marketing, health advocacy, or cosmetology
