Hi there! I’m a NYC standup comedian in need of a producer for my podcast Sean’s Show. The premise of the show is simple: it’s me doing rants about tech and political news. I’m looking to hire an on-camera producer to add to the show. Details below.
Job Description:
You will be on-camera (with your own microphone) and looking up news stories, pulling up videos, and reading excerpts from articles as I cover the week’s new stories.
Requirements:
Be based in NYC (Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens) and available from 1 to 3 PM every Wednesday to record the podcast in Brooklyn
Have an interest, passion, and knowledge of technology, politics, and culture
Enjoy comedy and “get” my sense of humor
You must be okay/comfortable with with being on-camera and being part of the show, and appearing in clips on social media, etc.
Bonus Stuff:
Knowledge of podcast industry and digital content market (ad sponsorships, Patreon economics, YouTube content strategy etc).
Prior experience in podcast production, radio
Pay Structure
I will pay the producer $100 per hour, which would be $200 per week or $800 per month. The studio is in Brooklyn.
Other Information
This is still a newer podcast (I’m on episode 58 right now) and the regular listenership right now is 100 people. As the show grows I would hope that whoever I hire could grow with the show, and obviously get paid more commiserate with the growth of the show. I
