We are currently seeking Interns for Spring 2025 and are now accepting applications.
Leave It Better LLC is a documentary production company that tells stories of people who are actively working to improve our environment. Check out some of our work at leaveitbetter.com.
The Internship Program allows a small group of dedicated people to join our team, contributing to our organization through filming, producing, editing and/or promoting vital documentaries about agricultural, environmantal and personal revitalization. Interns will have access to our editing and camera equipment, and will be provided specific instruction on cinematography and editing, as needed. We split time working in the field and working remotely.
Criteria
Interns will work 2-3 days a week for approx. 8-12 hours per week during the Spring 2025 Internship Cycle. Upon completion of the internship a $1,200 stipend will be paid.

Who Will Feed Us? Assistant Editor/ Additional Camera
We’re in post-production on the feature documentary, Who Will Feed Us? which is a personal story of one family moving from the big city to rural Vermont to start homesteading. It’s also a national story of food supply chains and regional food systems. We’re looking for someone with a strong sense of organization and a creative collaborative spirit to join our team. The right candidate may also have opportunities to film for the documentary.
The Right to Food- Assistant Editor
There’s a growing movement for Food Sovereignty in America and we’re making a documentary about this fast-developing issue, as it spreads from Maine and Wyoming to the halls of power in Washington D.C. Join us on this activist documentary The Right to Food. We’re looking for an organized, detailed oriented person to help log and organize footage, and potentially start putting together assemblies and scenes. Editing experience a big plus, Premiere.
Leave It Better Media Communications
We’re a growing production company looking to share our stories with the world. The right candidate will be great at digital communications and big-picture strategy, helping us to expand our message and impact.
Content Producer
Leaveitbetter.com features short documentaries about people and organizations who are working to have a positive effect on the environment. Content Producers will be shooting and editing stories to be featured on leaveitbetter.com. All equipment is provided. Experience shooting and editing is a plus.
