Commercial fabrication company with clients in events, retail, film & TV seeking experienced scenic artists for ongoing seasonal and full time roles. Ideal candidate has 5-7 years experience of multi-disciplinary art department and scenic artist lead at leading NYC fabrication companies. Primary areas of fabrication include woodworking, set building, propmaking, and metalworking.
-Expertly proficient with finishing techniques including paint, adhesion, vinyl and graphics applications.
-Will work on a team, be timeline focused, and comfortable on a range of budgets.
-Have impeccable standards and work efficiently
-Design oriented with strong computer, traditional design, and written communication skills.
-Can communicate across a range of internal tracking platforms such as Basecamp, Slack, and Google products.
-Must be familiar with CAD, illustrator, indesign, adobe, and all major creative suite programs
