Allsorts, Inc. is a custom fabrication shop in Greenpoint, Brooklyn seeking carpenters, fabricators, and other highly skilled craftspeople to join our team. We are in our 14th year of servicing the television, trade show, and photo industries. Our projects are varied and the skills required range from carpentry, metal fabrication, CNC milling, laser cutting, plastics and vinyl fabrication, light electrical, scenic painting and finishing, and sign making.
We are specifically looking for experienced fabricators that can immediately join working with our current projects. Candidates will:
Read/interpret drawings & make accurate measurements
Comfortable working with delicate, heavy, and/or large items
Organized, structured, and detail-oriented with a positive attitude
Extreme attention to detail
Discern quality of parts and materials used in production
Offer and accept feedback
Manage time and prioritize to meet production deadlines
Able to work solo, with a partner, and with teams
General on site familiarity of both shop and TV/Photo studios
Valid driver's license, clean record and experience driving in NYC in vans/box trucks
High level carpentry/fabrication skill set
Sketchup/Vectorworks experience a plus
CNC router operator experience a plus
Laser cutting experience a plus
Electrical & Low Voltage lighting knowledge a plus
TIG/MIG welding experience a plus
