We are looking for a detailed oriented individual to take charge of the takeoff portion of our Estimating process. The majority of the work will consist of marking up printed drawings (Blueprints), in a large area, open office space. You won’t be jammed in a cubicle.
The ideal Candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience reading construction Blueprints, especially MEP portions. Also, be detailed oriented.
You will be responsible to accurately identify, qualify and count all the devices, points, and paths required of the electrical portion of the construction project, whether it’s to install, preserve or demo existing devices or components.
Computer expertise is not required, but an elementary understanding of MS-Excel is necessary. A firm grasp of Blueprint reading and identifying symbols, schedules and legends is an absolute must from hire.
Advanced estimating software computer knowledge is welcomed, and our preferred takeoff software is PlanSwift.
You must be able to work independently, and also with a team of four collaborators on projects: large and small.
