Well established local retailer serving Fairfield County is seeking a part-time & full-time Field Service Technician to join our growing team. We are in Westport, CT and have been in business since 1999. The position entails servicing and delivery of hot tubs to our customer base in CT and the surrounding areas. We are looking for strong, self-motivated individuals to join our team. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined and must have the ability to do heavy lifting. Previous forklift, warehouse, trailer driving, or spa knowledge are a plus; however, willing to train the right individual - strong references needed for consideration. The candidate MUST be bilingual in Spanish and at least 21 years old with a clean driving record to apply. Also, they must pass a pre-employment screening and background check.
The primary role of the service technician is to deliver and set up equipment, mostly spas, in the field. In so doing the technician is the "face" of Mike’s Factory Direct for any customer on any particular day. As such, integrity and professionalism are core values that the service technician must both hold and project to the customer. This individual is detail oriented with excellent leadership, organizational, communication and decision-making skills
Responsibilities Include:
· Delivering merchandise to customer's home, driving delivery trucks & trailers, Ability to inspect, wrap, & load merchandise properly for delivery.
· Ensuring the delivery vehicle is properly stocked w accurate inventory
· Installing spas, performing basic connections, and going over the operation with the customer.
· Troubleshoot hot tubs in need of service & perform repairs
· Installing covers & equipment in spas
· Perform water care service, orientations, and overall customer service.
· Unloading trucks & stocking warehouse. Keeping the warehouse neat, clean & organized is imperative.
· Refurbishing spas in the shop.
· Maintaining tools and equipment.
· Perform other related duties as may be required by management
Knowledge and Experience:
· Familiarity with Hot Tub or Pool Industry, including water chemistry
· Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record and a courteous driving demeanor.
· Mechanically inclined - basic plumbing experience preferred
· Basic computer skills – email, internet, etc
· Basic knowledge of social media

· A "safety-first" attitude. Heavy lifting will be required. It is very important to work and act safely always since position requires consistent heavy lifting/loading/dollying.
Other Information:
· Work hours are Monday - Friday with occasional weekends
· Compensation commensurate with experience (hourly base rate plus commission & bonus) They also occasionally are tipped by the customer.
