We are currently seeking an experienced woodworker with 5+ years of experience to work full time in
our production facility. Candidates must have the ability to consistently build high quality furniture and
maintain a clean and organized workspace. This is a full-time production position offering competitive
compensation including health insurance and workers compensation in addition to 401k matching after
one year. Salary will be commensurate with experience ranging from $25 to $35 an hour.
The position requires physical labor and the ability to be on your feet for most of the day. Applicants
must have relevant professional experience building hardwood furniture in an industrial woodshop
setting. Furniture school or hobbyist level experience alone only does not qualify.
Candidates must be organized and methodical, possessing the ability to work on multiple projects
simultaneously to meet production calendar deadlines. Technical training will be provided for unique Fort
Standard production methods. Additional support will be provided as needed; however, once fully onboarded, applicants must be able to work well autonomously and complete builds from detailed
production drawings provided.
Standard business hours are Monday – Thursday 9 AM - 6 PM, Friday 9 AM – 5 PM

Production Responsibilities:
- Execute furniture production to the highest quality meeting project deadlines
- Maintain a well-organized and clean shop space
- Receive building materials and supplies, adding to digital inventory as needed
- Hand select hardwood best suited for different parts of a project
- Help keep an accurate inventory of material and furniture parts in house
- Assist with the other various odd jobs when necessary
- Assist in local pick-ups and deliveries as needed
Skills & Requirements:
- Minimum five years of experience building furniture professionally
- Detail oriented with a focus on fine craftsmanship
- Ability to read drawings and build to specifications provided
- Experience with working machinery: sliding table saw, jointer, planer, radial saw, band saw, lathe
- Knowledge of safe hand tool practices and experience in machine set up and general safety measures
- Knowledge of different building materials, wood species and hardwood characteristics
- Must possess the ability to distinguish variations in color
- Finishing experience is a plus: Spray and hand applied techniques
- Ability to accurately measure and quickly do simple math required to build to specification
- Ability to solve problems quickly and effectively
- Ability to work independently and with a small team
- Ability to produce high quality work at a quick and intentional pace
- Must be punctual and reliable with good communication skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy items, the majority of our work is heavy
